Our Studio Policy
To help our studio run smoothly and provide the best experience for every family, we've outlined a few important studio guidelines below.
Tuition & Billing
Keys to Praise is a year-round studio. Lessons continue throughout the calendar year with scheduled holidays and seasonal transition weeks thoughtfully built into the yearly rhythm of learning.
All-inclusive tuition is billed in equal monthly payments throughout the year, reserving each student's weekly lesson time and supporting a consistent, enriching music education experience.
All-Inclusive Tuition includes:
Weekly lessons
Books & materials
Three annual studio recitals
Performance workshops
Student incentives & awards
In-studio resources
Everything your child needs for a fun and successful year of music making!
Monthly tuition is automatically processed on the 1st of each month using the payment method on file. Tuition is reviewed annually, with any adjustments taking effect on August 1.
Enrollment is ongoing, so your child's place in the studio is automatically reserved from month to month and year to year. There is no need to re-register each year.
Each summer, families receive updated tuition information, the annual studio calendar, and any policy updates for the upcoming studio year.
New Student Enrollment Fee
A one-time enrollment fee of $49 per student is due at registration to reserve your child's place in the studio. Families who remain continuously enrolled do not pay this fee again. If a student withdraws and later re-enrolls, the enrollment fee may apply.
Preschool Piano Prep
Preschool Piano Prep is offered in 12-week sessions and may be paid in full or in three equal monthly payments. Tuition includes weekly group classes, materials, and performance opportunities throughout the session.
Missed Lessons
Our policies are designed to provide consistency for families, preserve the quality of instruction, and respect the time of both our students and teachers.
Private Lessons: Your child's weekly lesson time is reserved exclusively for them. When possible, students who are unable to attend in person are encouraged to participate via Zoom at their regularly scheduled time. If they are unable to attend either in person or online, missed lessons cannot be rescheduled. We encourage students to continue practicing while they're away, as consistent practice is one of the greatest contributors to musical growth.
Group Classes: Our goal is to provide a consistent experience for every group. Each class progresses together and develops its own unique dynamic, therefore students are not able to attend another group when they miss their regular class.
Teacher Absences: If a teacher must miss a lesson, the studio will provide a make-up lesson, qualified substitute teacher, or another appropriate solution.
Student Wellness
To help keep our students, families, and teachers healthy, please keep your child home if they are not feeling well. Rest is often the best medicine, and an extra week of practice is always better than sharing germs with friends!
Please do not bring your child to lessons if your child:
has a fever
stays home from school that day
symptoms that may be contagious
Withdrawal
We understand that family needs can change. If you decide to discontinue lessons, we simply ask for 30 days' written notice before the next billing cycle.
Written notice should be submitted using our Withdrawal Form and emailed to the studio. Verbal notice to a teacher does not constitute official withdrawal.
Tuition remains due during the 30-day notice period, and students are welcome to continue attending lessons during that time. Monthly tuition is not refunded or prorated for unused lessons.
If your family chooses to return in the future, re-enrollment is subject to teacher availability, current tuition rates, and studio policies.
Studio Agreement
Enrollment at Keys to Praise Piano Studio constitutes acceptance of the studio policies, tuition and billing terms, and studio guidelines outlined above.
